Updated examples? Can't get MVC 1 examples to work

Do you plan on release any updated examples for the Basics, Fromatting, Search, CRUD, Sugrid, TreeGrid examples that are currently for MVC1? I am using MVC5 and following the Basics example I am unable to get my grid to display any data.
var SectionData = new
                total = (int)Math.Ceiling((float)RowCount / (float)rows),
                page = page,
                records = RowCount,
                rows = (from s in db.Sections
                        select new
                            id = s.ID,
                            cell = new string[] {
                            .OrderBy(x => sidx)
            return Json(SectionData, JsonRequestBehavior.AllowGet);
<script type="text/javascript">
$( document ).ready( function ()
    $( '#Sections' ).jqGrid( {
        url: '/Admin/Section/GetData',
        datatype: 'json',
        mtype: 'GET',
        colNames: ['ID', 'RouteName', 'Title'],
        colModel: [
                    { name: 'ID', index: 'ID', width: '10' },
                    { name: 'RouteName', index: 'RouteName', width: '50' },
                    { name: 'Title', index: 'Title' }
        autowidth: true,
        height: '100%',
        pager: $( '#SectionsPager' ),
        rowNum: 10,
        sortname: 'ID',
        sortorder: 'asc',
        viewrecords: true
    } ).navGrid(
       //enabling buttons
       { add: true, del: false, edit: false, search: false },
       //edit options
       { width: 'auto' },
       //add options
       { width: 'auto', url: '/Admin/Section/Add' },
       //delete options
       {} );
} );
The pager shows up and works fine and the column names are displayed but no data for some reason.

In the downloads section you can find two recommended sample projects:
Both projects are currently using ASP.NET MVC 3 (you can get the first one for ASP.NET MVC 4 directly from repository as it has been upgraded there) but there should be no issues with standard migration to ASP.NET MVC 5 (both of those projects are going to be updated to ASP.NET MVC 5 after v6.4.0 release of Lib.Web.Mvc)

Thanks I will take a look at the second download and work off that.

Apparently the solution provided in your second link does not work, it generates a SQL connection error

Apparently you haven't read the download description and didn't install Northwind Database (it is a Micorosft sample database, it can't be redistributed with the sample).

You can get it here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=23654. After download you install it to your SQL Server installation (Express version will work) and adjust the connection string in web.config if needed.
